post op update

Hello

I finally had my surgery on Tuesday! All went well. They found the area that didnt heal had some un healthy bone, so removed that, took out the screws from the last op and replaced it all with plates, scres and a bone graft from my heel.

I came home yesterday and feel op, but the area of the graft is very sore. I am just glad they didnt go for the pelvis as thats supposed to be very painful.

I am in a below knee cast which incorporates my big toe. so all feels very secure.

I had issues in the hosp as they wanted me to go into a heel walker only, but after i made them read back, they realised what was decided and I am now safe and secure in a cast.

I am still really sleepy. I have morphine for the pain and while it really helps, its like a switch just turns off every few minutes!

I will be back once I am less sleepy!

Holy moly they found a lot. I'm so glad you are done and on the mend! Phew! Rest and heal...

So glad your surgery went well and you're home. Rest and lots of ice!
